Daniel Dehncke
Background:
I am a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Data Science in Biomedicine at TU Braunschweig, with a background in bioinformatics from the University of Tübingen. My research focuses on computational drug repurposing, with an emphasis on rare diseases and drug synergy. I develop graph-based and transformer models to predict drug–disease and drug–drug relationships using the NeDRex knowledge graph. Additionally, I create tools for data exploration, bridging data-driven and knowledge-based approaches to deliver interpretable, explainable predictions that support biomedical discovery and personalized therapy development.
